You've probably already heard about the shooting of Republicans at a baseball game. I still haven't really looked into it much, but I decided to post this just to say that I saw this coming. When I heard that a congressman had been shot, I asked, "Was it a Republican?" Sure enough, it was.

In 2009 and thereabouts, things would have been different. I would have expected the victim to be a Democrat. Sure enough, Gabrielle Giffords was shot. That was a time when certain Republicans in the base were calling Obama the "Antichrist". Now is a different time, with leftists seething with more hatred than I've ever seen, even from right-wingers. While Obama was the "Antichrist", Trump is "Neo-Hitler". Although I've been disappointed with both the Antichrist and Neo-Hitler, I'm still not ashamed that I voted for them over their rivals, who were truly elitist hacks. I'd rather shake things up and put a frown on the face of the irrational hate-mongers...no matter what side they're on.
But certainly, as I mentioned, it is the left that has gone off the deep end over the past few years, and particularly after Neo-Hitler came to power. I don't doubt for a second that the mainstreaming of Kathy Griffin's "Trump beheading" photo shoot and Central Park's "Let's Kill Trump!" Quasi-Shakespearean play helped push this to the boiling point. In fact, in a recent video by "Atheism is Unstoppable", he shows that "The Young Turks" in fact radicalized people to kill police officers. Another warning sign was the embracing of the idea of "Punching Nazis" and then the labeling of literally everyone who is not a Social Justice Warrior (including feminist Laci Green) as a "Nazi".
I am the sort of person who does not pick a side. I do my own thing and I gain more or less respect for those who do what I believe to be right. If some person or some side does something that I do not believe to be right, I will be against them...no matter which side it is. This is what most people don't understand. Most people follow a group and stick up for that group. I'm proud to say that in my life, I have never had a role model. Role models are totally unnecessary and in fact that idea should not exist. Logic should be the sole arbiter that dictates what is right. If you have a "side" or a "role model", then you will be put in the position of defending them even if they do something that you would normally find to be wrong. I judge groups and individuals based on how "right" they are, and I determine what is right by logic. That is the only rational way to do it. Otherwise, you are picking a group or individual and forgoing your own sense of right in order to become a mindless follower.
