Just in case you thought that the so-called "progressive" overlords of the Western world had any interest in helping actual "refugees" and "asylum seekers", here is all the proof you need to know that that is not the case.

Asia Bibi was jailed in Pakistan for the high crime of being a Christian (also known as "blasphemy"), and sentenced to death by hanging.  She has spent time in jail since at least 2010, but the Supreme Court overturned the case, and she should be released after the verdict is reviewed during "a process that can take years"...

Murderous Muslims have decided to take the "law" into their own hand, by killing her soon after she is finally released, so she appealed for asylum in the UK.  However, the UK has rejected her appeal for asylum.  Will THEY be called "racist" for not taking in one person who will almost definitely be killed and is an actual, rare, LEGITIMATE asylum seeker?  Of course not.  Only people who speak against economic migrants who are at no more risk of danger in their home countries than the average person in that country, and who do not apply for asylum in their own countries but secretly break the law to cross the border illegally and then claim asylum if they end up being caught, and come by the tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands every year...only people who speak against them face any consequences.

Why is this the case?  Well, if you think people in charge are having these things happen because they are "good people", I can only chuckle in a kind of depressed way.  No naive...  Young one...you will soon learn that "truly good people" are a rare commodity.  Most people do things for some kind of benefit - oftentimes PR purposes or "virtue signaling" at best, and depressing wages or hatred of the current majority and desire to increase your base for political gain at worst.  Why would taking in Asia Bibi not be a case of "good PR" and "virtue signaling"?  Because it might make Muslims mad.  And any calculating person who is not actually a good person but "plays one on TV" would calculate that the risk of actually doing something good pales in comparison to the risk of pissing off Muslims...who are, of course, said to be peaceful and pose no risk to our societies...although the way people ACT tells you SO much more than what they SAY.

Shame on the UK.  Let her come to the US.  Hopefully, we can be a beacon for the persecuted.

Fighting Klanophobia I'm always hurt when I see bigots offend groups of people.  All too often, people paint a group, "the other" with a broad brush and stereotype them as being evil, even though the crimes that are associated with them are only committed by a tiny minority fringe element within the larger group.
