Photo-Realistic Video Game Graphics Have Arrived!

This is actual gameplay of "Unrecord", a video game that it set to be released in the future.

It's the most photo-realistic game I've ever seen! It looks like it's actually from the body-cam of a police officer. It's not the most beautiful game I've seen, but real body-cam footage isn't. There's no amazing sky because in these videos, the sky is often just blown-out white. Yet doing that in itself is quite incredible! Sometimes, "photo-realism" isn't what one would expect. You have to actually inspect real videos to see their characteristics and then translate that to a video game. They've done a nearly perfect job of it.

By the way, there is also a racing game that has already been released, which I heard about just after viewing this Unrecord clip. That game is called "Ride 4", and below is a link to that. Again, it's not the most beautiful game. It's pretty dreary and doesn't have colorful vistas...but sometimes, creating looks that in real life would seem "mundane" can be one of the hardest things to get right in a game!

It's crazy stuff... Amazing talent and technologies have gone into these... I hope for VR stuff like this in the future as well!

In Defense of...Cecil Rhodes?!

The Dark Side of the Women's March

The recent Women's March, which took place in Washington and numerous other cities one day after the inauguration of President Trump, may go down as the largest protest in American history. Millions showed up to these events to advocate for women's issues and to protest against Donald Trump. While very few would find fault in a women's march in and of itself, upon inspecting this women's march further, some disturbing information comes to light. The Sixth Great Mass Extinction and Human Survival

Recently, there have been numerous articles about a study showing that we are in the midst of the Earth's sixth great mass extinction.  Below are some quotes, and then I will give my thoughts.
