Pick Only The Side Of Reason

You've probably already heard about the shooting of Republicans at a baseball game.  I still haven't really looked into it much, but I decided to post this just to say that I saw this coming.  When I heard that a congressman had been shot, I asked, "Was it a Republican?"  Sure enough, it was. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/article156183584.html In 2009 and thereabouts, things would have been different.  I would have expected the victim to be a Democrat.  Sure enough, Gabrielle Giffords was shot.  That was a time when certain Republicans in the base were calling Obama the "Antichrist".  Now is a different time, with leftists seething with more hatred than I've ever seen, even from right-wingers.  While Obama was the "Antichrist", Trump is "Neo-Hitler".  Although I've been disappointed with both the Antichrist and Neo-Hitler, I'm still not ashamed that I voted for them over their rivals, who were truly elitist

The Most Blatant Propaganda I've Ever Seen

Fox News: ISIS's real target: Saudi Arabia http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/05/19/isiss-real-target-saudi-arabia.html As Donald Trump sucks up to the fascist Saudi government, Fox News publishes an "opinion piece" that is so propagandistic, it is shocking. I'm not shocked that stories from mainstream media outlets in my news feed are propaganda. That's par for the course. I'm just shocked that this one is so blatant. Usually, they try to at least pretend like what they spew is news-worthy and at least semi-truthful. Here, they didn't even try. Here are some quotes from the piece, written by Ali Shihabi, "the executive director of the Arabia Foundation a Washington, DC-based propaganda outlet think tank focused on the geopolitics of the Arabian Peninsula", along with some of my comments: "As custodian of Islam’s holiest sites, Mecca and Medina, and as leader of the 41-nation Islamic coalition established to combat terror, Saudi Ar

Premium Fresh Young Chicken

Yesterday, while on a drive, I got behind a truck and took this picture. (During a roughly half-hour period on the road, I came across three more such trucks.) I could smell the truck from so close, and the smell was not good. These chickens were dirty and lame, unable to stand up even if they had the room to do so. Some were throwing their legs around, attempting to stand. I wondered what it must be like for them to see the outside world for the first time in their lives. Of course, there is also the heat and the wind (blowing feathers from the truck as it drove), but the outdoors, even if from behind bars, may have excited them a bit. Who knows what they would find in this whole new world that they had not known even an hour earlier? Maybe their lives would change for the better. Well, that did not pan out. As I kept driving straight, the truck turned right...into a processing plant with a sign boasting "Premium Fresh Young Chicken". Well, that was their glimps

The EU's True Nature Is Revealed

The EU is desperately and pathetically trying to cling to Gibraltar as the UK leaves the union. Even though Gibraltar has been exclusively British for over 300 years, Spain and the EU are now attempting to claim the land. This illustrates how the EU truly thinks. They put on a happy persona, saying that they are not an empire that sucks the sovereignty out of every place that they touch, yet when push comes to shove, they act exactly like such an empire. The Spanish government, some of the biggest hypocrites on in the Western world, think that they should automatically own Gibraltar because it is "touching" Spain and not the rest of the UK (which is like saying that Alaska is Canadian because it is "touching" Canada and not the rest of the US)...yet they themselves have two enclaves, Ceuta and Melilla, which are "touching" Morocco and not the rest of Spain. Now THAT is the height of hypocrisy. I don't know how some people got the idea into their h

Europe Is Not Free (YouTube Version)

Hi. This is Odracirys, and I have something to say.  Europe is not free.   This may come as a shock to those who think that Europe is a bastion of liberal thought.  It’s merely a bastion of leftist thought, and as I have realized, left-wingers can be just as much against freedom as any right-wingers.  If you are a Classical Liberal or a centrist, I would like to make the case for voting for those you may not even strongly support, but who are in danger (as are we all) if the authorities get what they want.  Many of the powers controlling Europe are so authoritarian and despotic that they must be resisted.  They attempt to appear like they are on the side of good while destroying the freedoms that people these days take for granted.  Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen, although they have flaws like anyone else, have been unfair targets of governmental abuse, and I feel that the best way to stop this abuse is to show the authorities that the more they try to destroy these people, the more

EUROPE IS NOT FREE.

This may come as a shock to those who think that Europe is a bastion of liberal thought.  It is merely a bastion of leftist thought, and as I have realized, leftists can be just as much against freedom as any rightists.  This is yet another example of why I would be forced into voting for those I don't even strongly support, just because the opposition is so authoritarian and despotic while attempting to appear like they are on the side of good. The French presidential election is in less than two months.  I assume the powers that be think that the people cannot detect the trampling of democracy when they learn that "The European Parliament voted Thursday to lift French far-right leader Marine Le Pen’s immunity from prosecution for tweeting gruesome images of violence, a crime that carries up to three years in prison under French law. The legislature voted by a broad majority in Brussels to clear the way for the possible prosecution of Le Pen over tweets she made in December

Trump on the Brink, Leftists Against Free Speech, Intolerance On Both Sides

Trump appears to already be teetering on the brink and (apparently lawfully) acting like a dictator. At the same time, far leftists are (successfully and illegally) trying to stop free speech. This is where we're at, folks. With regards to Trump, it is scary that he mentioned (even if this was seen by both sides as a "joke") that he might send US troops into Mexico to deal with "bad hombres". With Australia, he said the deal for accepting migrants was "dumb" and he might reconsider it. That is crazy. This is an agreement with another nation, and you can't just send off a tweet calling it into question without consulting with anyone. (Well, you can, but it's a terrible idea.) Honestly speaking, now into his presidency, people really do need to take away Trump's tweeting privileges. Sometimes, it's better if not every single thought and whim is put directly out to a global audience for anyone to see. The good thing is that ther

The Dark Side of the Women's March

The recent Women's March, which took place in Washington and numerous other cities one day after the inauguration of President Trump, may go down as the largest protest in American history. Millions showed up to these events to advocate for women's issues and to protest against Donald Trump. While very few would find fault in a women's march in and of itself, upon inspecting this women's march further, some disturbing information comes to light. The Women's March was thankfully quite peaceful, unlike Inauguration Day when the group Antifa (the "anti-fascists"), although stymied by the police, were ironically able to carry out their own mini "Kristallnacht" (or rather, "Kristalltag"), smashing windows and setting fires in broad daylight. The Women's March appears to have been non-violent and there were apparently no arrests. However, problems start to manifest themselves when we look at the people who set up and spoke at th
